Sustainable recovery that works for communities

NCSD connects Ukrainian scientific and engineering expertise with international partnerships to deploy clean energy solutions where they are needed most.

Mission

Who we are

The National Council for Sustainable Development brings together scientists, engineers, civic actors and local government representatives around one goal: to help Ukraine recover in a way that is clean, fair and resilient.

We see energy recovery not as replacing damaged infrastructure like-for-like, but as an opportunity to build safer, lower-cost and more environmentally responsible systems for communities.

To help Ukrainian communities implement practical innovations in renewable energy, waste-to-resource systems and socially inclusive post-war recovery.
